Propagation Vases
The idea behind this concept was to create a fresh take on what a vase could look like, using thin wooden panels to convey the vase shape and test tubes in between to hold propagated cuttings or flowers. Because of the nature of my concept, I had the ability to use essentially any 2D form I could imagine, so I sketched out an array of dynamic vase shapes that might otherwise be difficult to apply to a typical 3D vase, picked a few of my favorites, took them to Adobe Illustrator, and had them laser cut. I also used this as an opportunity to experiment with resin for the first time, filling the cutouts with resin and pressed flowers.
